Rules for the Submission of Originals Works

FORMAL ASPECTS
 
All articles sent to the Societat d’Onomàstica for publication in the Internal Newsletter must be originals.
-          The front page of the work must state the article’s title, a brief summary (200 words max.), the author’s name and his/her personal details.
-          Articles must be typed in double-space format, with a maximum of 2,000 characters per page.
-          Pages must be numbered on one side only, with margins to make any notes.
-          Only one document must be submitted, in digital format.
-          All articles sent must be finished works. New versions will NOT be accepted.
 
 
Bibliographical references must be included in brackets in the general text, indicating the author’s name, the year of publication and the page numbers. For example: (COROMINES, 1954, pp. 10-25). Notes must be included at the end of the article.
 
 
Illustrations: 
-          The text must make explicit reference to the photographs, charts or maps that accompany it.
-          Digital images must be sent in a separate file. Each image must contain its title and a list of the legend. Their position within the text must also be indicated.
-          Maps must indicate both the scale and the north point. If it is a reproduction of a map that has already been published, this must be indicated in the reference list.
 
 
Bibliography must be indicated as follows: 
-          A single book:
Surname [small capitals], name (year of publication). Book title. Place of publication: Publisher (name of the collection; number).
Roca, Pere (1980). Toponímia del terme de Sabadell. Sabadell: Fundación Bosch i Cardellach (Quaderns d’arxiu de la fundació Bosch i Cardellach; 35).
 
-          A book with several authors:

-          An passage from a book:
Surname, Name (year). Book title. Place of publication: Publisher (name of the collection; number), page numbers of the passage.

Surname, Name (year). "Article title". Magazine name [Place of publication], volume number, issue number, pages where the article is found.

-          A doctoral thesis:
Surname, Name. Thesis title. Director’s name. Place and university. Department, year.
